Announcing the Legacy Preservation Program

We started Pantio to preserve legacies. Earlier this year we built digital personas of over 1,000 Holocaust survivors. Anyone can talk to them at pantio.io/holocaust-survivors. Largest archive like it in the world. That project wasn't planned as a product. It just reminded us what we're actually doing here.

Holocaust survivors who carried the 20th century on their backs. War veterans who came home and never told their families what happened. People who survived genocide, displacement, famine, and rebuilt from zero. Civil rights witnesses. Political refugees who outlived the regimes that wanted them gone.

None of them asked to become history. But they are. And every year there are fewer of them left.

We preserve their stories. Living or deceased. If there are memories, recordings, letters, interviews, we build a persona. If the person is still alive, better yet.

Holocaust survivors. WWII, Korea, Vietnam veterans. Genocide survivors. Political dissidents and refugees. Civil rights witnesses. Indigenous elders carrying oral traditions.

We're a small team. We won't get to every story in the world. But the ones that find us will be heard. ark@pantio.io — tell us about the person. We'll take it from there.
