If you have voice recordings — even a short voicemail — yes, it will sound like them. The more audio you provide, the closer it gets. But keep in mind, it's AI — it's not a real person. Most people say it's enough to feel them again.

It depends on the person. Research from the CHI 2023 conference found that people who used AI grief tools actually became more social, not less. Over 90% of bereaved people benefit from maintaining a connection. For the small percentage who might struggle, we build in safeguards — usage awareness, gentle prompts to step back, and transparency that this is AI. We want this to be a healthy part of how you remember, not a substitute for living.

What if I don't have voice recordings?

Accepted Answer

You need at least 10-15 seconds of their voice. An old voicemail, a home video, a phone recording — anything works. Without voice, we can still create a persona from photos, letters, and your memories — but it won't have their actual voice.

Is this disrespectful to their memory?

Accepted Answer

That's a fair question, and only you can answer it. Some people find it comforting. Others aren't ready. We built this to preserve, not to replace. There's no pressure — if it doesn't feel right, that's okay.

How long does it take to create a persona?

Uploading materials and going through onboarding takes up to you — could be minutes, could be hours. But the persona itself will be ready in about five minutes after that.

Can other family members access it?

Yes. You can share access with anyone — siblings, children, grandchildren. Each person has their own conversations. You control who gets access.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. Everything you upload — voice, photos, memories — is encrypted and belongs to you. We don't sell or share your data. Period.

No. And we'd never claim that. This is a tool, not therapy. Some people find comfort in hearing a familiar voice. Others use it on hard days or special occasions. It won't fix the loss — but it can make it a little less silent.

Several ways. On our platform you can chat or make a voice call. You can also text them via SMS or call their phone number — just like calling a real person.
